As part of ambitious expansion plan into Germany, for our client - an innovative Finnish company specializing in energy-efficient district heating
solutions - we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Manager to lead the business development efforts in Germany (North Rhine-Westphalia preferably at first) and drive the growth throughout the country.
You will lead the market entry and establish presence in Germany. Your primary focus will be on identifying opportunities, developing partnerships, and building a strong sales pipeline to position the brand as a leader in the German district heating sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Business Development: identify and pursue new business opportunities for district heating solutions; develop and implement strategies to expand sales channels and increase market share.
  • Market Analysis: conduct market research to evaluate industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs; identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities in the German market.
  • Partnership Building: establish and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, installers and designers.
  • Sales and Marketing: plan and execute targeted sales and marketing initiatives to achieve revenue goals; represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and forums across Germany.
  • Sales Strategy: develop and refine effective sales strategies tailored to the German market; provide detailed sales forecasts and regular performance reports.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5+ years of proven success insales and business development in the industry.
  • Experience in district heating sector is absolute must.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field is highly desirable.
  • Strong network with distributors, installers, and other industry players.
  • A self-driven leader with excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Pragmatic and proactive in solving problems with a positive attitude.
  • Strong cultural sensitivity and the ability to navigate complex market dynamics.
  • Fluent verbal and written proficiency in both German and English.
